Composer Solveiga Selga's Jubilee Author's Concert

Thursday, March 14 at At 19.00 the Golden Hall of the Latvian Society of Riga will host the composer Solveiga Selga's jubilee author's concert "Back to Nature".

Soloists Ernests Mediņš, Valdis Muktupāvels, Artis Gāga and jubilee Solveiga Selga will take part in the concert, as well as the clarinet quartet "Quattro Differente" led by Marina Vidmonte and the flute quartet "Flautissimo" led by Dace Bičkovska.

Chamber music by Solveiga Selga will be played.

Composer Talks. Close-up

Since 2019, a cycle of talks with contemporary Latvian composers "Tuvplāns" | "Close-up" has been organized in the premises of organization at Baznīcas street 37 in Riga. The purpose of these events is to create a professional discussion about the work of composers, their musical ideas and sources of inspiration. As part of "Close-up" there are conversations, listening to music, analyzes of musical scores, discussions about contemporary music trends.

Three meetings are planned in the near future:

On February 7th - composer Oskars Herlins;

On February 21th - composer Anna Veismane;

On March 6th - composer Maris Lasmanis
